PODCAST: Aurora Parisea, Full Stack Developer at Makpar, Builds a Neural Network for Government

In this Makpar Fed Mission Success podcast interview, Aurora Parisea, a Full Stack Developer at Makpar, discusses how she built a neural network for the Makpar Innovation Lab, why neural networks are important for government, and much more.

Neural networks for government is a model that is built in software and used to identify, classify and recommend an outcome based on a given input. Many of these are used for augmenting human-driven tasks, and freeing up government and defense personnel to focus on more strategic, mission-focused work.

The new Makpar neural network focused on developing an “exclusive or” (XOR) function that enhances image classification and identification. This is the first step the Makpar Innovation lab has taken to develop cutting-edge, neural networks for addressing a wide-range of government challenges.

Following are the key highlights from this interview:

·         What a neural network is for government. (:49)

·         About the neural network that Aurora built for the Makpar innovation Lab. (1:38)

·         Use cases for neural networks in government. (4:16)

·         How neural networks will be a big part of the Makpar Innovation Lab. (6:07)

·         How neural networks will impact the future of government IT. (7:03)

The Makpar Innovation lab is pioneering new ways for helping government to leverage neural networks for solving critical business problems with data. Learn more about the Makpar Innovation lab here.
