Honoring Company Culture Month at Makpar

September is Company Culture Month, and Makpar has a proud legacy of fostering a corporate culture that always puts employees first. This has resulted in the company continually being named a Certified by Great Place to Work

Makpar’s award-winning culture is all about providing abundant support and opportunities to help our employees grow and reach their fullest potential. Happy people translates into excellent work, and ultimately happy customers.

But don't just take our word for it. Here’s what four Makpar employees have to say about the company’s special culture.

Janine Castillo

Technical Writer & H.R. Specialist

How do you define our company culture?

At its core, I would define Makpar's culture as balanced. From the top down, every single employee is acknowledged and treated with respect, laying the foundation for a positive working environment. Makpar’s leadership ensures employees enjoy work life balance, while also keeping the client a priority. It’s a special culture equipoised by individual and companywide goals aligned with aspirations for growth.

What’s your favorite part of Makpar’s culture?

Makpar's four values. They pave the way for leaders and colleagues alike to empower, guide, and challenge one another (Uplifting Communities). This leads to worker efficiency (On It!), innovation (Customer Delight), collaboration, creativity, and problem solving (Calm Execution). These all sow seeds from which subject matter expertise blooms and opportunities are born.

What is your ideal company culture?

The one I find myself in right now at Makpar! This is an innovative company with caring leaders that embrace company values, open communication, recognition – a culture that is collectively built and continuously nurtured.

Farah Elghazal

HR Director

How do you define our company culture?

I would describe our company culture as a positive one that puts a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and deep commitment to prioritizing our customers' needs. Based on this we have created Makpar’s four core values, which we strive to prioritize in everything we do. Our company culture also supports employee development and professional career growth.

What’s your favorite part of Makpar’s culture?

My favorite thing about our culture is how much we value our employees. And in return our employees feel a strong sense of belonging. We understand at Makpar that we are nothing without our employees. So, it important that we give them the resources to have balance between work and life. Our employee’s happiness is very important to us.

What is your ideal company culture?

An ideal company culture is one where there is respect and trust between Makpar and its employees. We want to create a culture of continuous feedback and communication. This kind of culture promotes open communication, allowing people to feel comfortable with sharing ideas – which leads to better solutions. Ultimately, the perfect company culture is in sync with its mission, values, and objectives of the organization … goals too.

Dan Montagna

PMO Manager

How do you define our company culture?

A challenging question, but our culture feels like one of growth and learning, with the benefit of having some exceptionally talented individuals baked into our organization to help us nurture that growth.

What’s your favorite part of Makpar’s culture?

I deeply appreciate the support for professional development at Makpar in the learning/growth element. The company provides not only financial assistance for professional development opportunities, but also in promoting the use of those skills in our current and forward-looking endeavors. This is something that not all companies promote as readily as we do.

What is your ideal company culture?

A well-rounded, diversified culture where we have regular, un-forced team engagement in learning, growing, knowledge-sharing. And, of course, working to make every project and program we take on better than the last. A culture where there is foundational camaraderie, and a team that can enjoy the moments of levity along with solid productivity. This leads to a stronger company structure, and the ability to grow and expand both internally for our teams, and externally in the type of work do.

Allen Pinkelton

Contract Program Manager, Unified Communications

How do you define our company culture?

Makpar’s culture is all about providing a strong sense of community.

What’s your favorite part of Makpar’s culture?

My favorite part is that Makpar genuinely cares about its employees and the quality of contracted services delivered to customers.

What is your ideal company culture?

My vision of an ideal company culture is an environment that supports the professional and personal well-being of company/employees that comes directly from leadership’s style of management.
