Employee Spotlight: Rhonda Burton

Rhonda is a recruiter here at Makpar.  Management is very proud to spotlight her. Congratulations, Rhonda!

Get to know her better with this Q&A:

What parts of mission & culture do you connect with?

When we talk about customer delight—that’s something I always do. When I think of customers, I think of people I interact with daily; whether they are work colleagues, or interviewees— those are my customers. When I look at it that way, I want to make sure the customer is engaged, respected, and feels valued. I also connect with On It! All throughout my career, I have always competed with myself. I set goals, and that constant goal setting keeps me driven. If I am competing with myself, I always have the bar raised high.

What's it been like working with your team?

What I like about working with the team is the autonomy that I have. They have confidence in me that I am going to deliver and that I’m on it. I am working hard to achieve the goals. Makpar is in a state of transition, that means we have to adjust from a smaller company to being on the threshold of something big.  We have to prepare ourselves for that. We will have more processes to have our customers, including myself to be engaged with this transition.

Advice to new employees?

Compete with yourself, always set goals. If you need assistance with anything, we are always here to help. Human Resources is a resource! People should feel comfortable being who they are and growing with the company as the company grows. There’s room for growth here!
