PODCAST: A Candid Take on Impact of ChatGPT on Government IT

In the following Makpar Fed Mission Success podcast interview, Peter Cofrancesco, Innovation Engineer at Makpar; Justin Torlone, Senior IT Manager at Makpar; Fareeha Khan Communications and Marketing Manager at Makpar, provide a candid view on the impact of ChatGPT on government IT and beyond.

2023 is certainly shaping up to be the year of ChatGPT, an AI language model developed by OpenAI, which is capable of generating human-like text based on the input it is given.

While ChatGPT has taken the world by storm since its launch in November 2022, there is actually a long history of AI development that has led us to where we are today.

Pandora’s box has officially been open when it comes to ChatGPT, and there are many key implications on its impact on IT development, and more. For example, it can be used for low-level IT coding and content creation – but the human element will remain critical in the foreseeable future.

This Makpar Fed Mission Success podcast takes a very informal look at the opportunities and pitfalls of ChatGPT from a business, technology development and societal perspective.
